Tart Cards are the way call girls (prostitutes) advertise their services. They are witty, filthy and down right fantastic. Now this dirty ads have became an icon of they city.

Wondering the streets of high-end London. The classic red phone boxes I filled to the brim of these dirty little secrets.

I love this card. Mainly because of the wanking man cut out of it or is it a Buddha statue? Also the graphics are so tart card classic. Found this one on the 5th of October 2012 on Euston Road London.

This is the logos for the new exciting design collaboration I am undertaking with one of the countries most exciting young fashion designers: Dan Mckinley (ursamajorlondon.tumblr.com). The first collection came from a night’s stroll through Deptford. Happening upon a discarded chair and finding a trestle in a skip we were filled with an urge to form them into objects of function and aesthetic value. The design references the heritage of our locale, south-east London: its maritime history, the impact of modernist architecture and the new life being breathed into the area by recent migrants to the area such as ourselves.

The streets of south-east London are littered with unwanted furniture and raw materials. mckinley+paget, fuelled by a desire to both preserve and renew the city we love, seek to take inspiration from these discarded items and create desirable, contemporary objects for living.

Look out for us, coming in 2013.

Object, something objective. Is this important to me? It has no emotion and no life but gives me hope and pride. You give me conflicted feelings of shame and hate but then remind me of great accomplishment of my fellow countrymen. Red, white and blue you fly high, there maybe controversy around you but at the end of the day your mine. I don’t care how you make me look and no I don’t vote for the BNP, you are my symbol of multiculturalism and change.

History you hold, future you unfold and hate you do not preach. Others take you to insight hate and intimidate, I take you to promote other virtues, respect, freedom and hope. No mater what you are you’re my flag, my identity.
